MoonPay Acquires Rhythm to Expand On-Chain Trading Signals

MoonPay has acquired Rhythm, an on-chain trading signals platform, to support broader adoption of online trading, the company said in a press release dated September 11, 2026. Rhythm’s co-founders, including Joseph Murphy, James Miller, and Lincoln Barnett III, have joined MoonPay.

MoonPay said Rhythm’s technology and its three co-founders are now part of the company. Miller posted on LinkedIn on Friday that Rhythm was acquired by MoonPay after “just 8 months of building.”

Platform aims to help users act on signals

Rhythm’s platform is designed to help users discover opportunities, execute trades, and manage risks in fast-moving markets. MoonPay said Rhythm integrates with its Top Up widget to simplify fiat onboarding.

MoonPay Labs investment in 2025

MoonPay said Rhythm was the first recipient of an investment from MoonPay Labs in 2025. In announcing that investment, MoonPay described Rhythm as a way to help users discover tokens, track the market, and act quickly without switching between multiple apps.

Acquisition streak adds to recent purchases

The Rhythm deal is the latest in a series of acquisitions MoonPay has made over the past two years. MoonPay acquired Glide in July, Entendre in June, Dawn Labs in May, DFlow in May, and Sodot in April. The company also bought Meso in September 2025, Iron in March 2025, and Helio in January 2025.

Why it matters

By bringing Rhythm in-house, MoonPay is adding trading signals and execution support to its broader fiat and digital asset infrastructure. The move also continues MoonPay’s pattern of expanding through acquisitions across payments, stablecoin infrastructure, and trading-related technology.
